Bed Bugs Management

Bed Bugs are parasites that feed on blood and can cause extreme itching and sleepless nights. They damage furniture, curtains, beds and mattresses.

Services

Bed bugs are small, oval, brownish insects that feed on the blood of animals or humans. Adult bed bugs have flat bodies about the size of an apple seed. After feeding, however, their bodies swell and are a reddish color. Best temperature for bed bugs breeding is 25°C to 35°C, hence they are active in summer season. The temperature of Sydney is favorable for breeding of Bed bugs. They are mostly found in wooden beds, chairs and other wooden articles because the temperature of wood hardly changes compare to metal articles. During day time bed bugs hide in tiny cracks and crevices and feed on blood at night.

Where Bed Bugs Hide

Bed bugs may enter your home undetected through luggage, clothing, used beds and couches, and other items. Their flattened bodies make it possible for them to fit into tiny spaces, about the width of a credit card. Their initial hiding places are typically in mattresses, box springs, bed frames, and headboards where they have easy access to people to bite in the night.

They may also spread to nearby rooms or apartments, Because bedbugs live solely on blood, having them in your home is not a sign of dirtiness. You are as likely to find them in immaculate homes and hotel rooms as in filthy ones.

When Bed bugs Bite

Bed bugs are active mainly at night and usually bite people while they are sleeping. They feed by piercing the skin and withdrawing blood through an elongated beak. The bed bugs feed from three to 10 minutes to become engorged and then crawl away unnoticed.

Most bed bug bites are painless at first, but later turn into itchy welts. Unlike flea bites that are mainly around the ankles, bedbug bites are on any area of skin exposed while sleeping. Also, the bites do not have a red spot in the center like flea bites do.

People who don't realize they have a bedbug infestation may attribute the itching and welts to other causes, such as mosquitoes. To confirm bedbug bites, you must find and identify the bugs themselves.

Bed Bugs Treatment:

The Bed bugs treatment is done by spraying the insecticide, especially in the seams of the mattress and other places infested by bed bugs. The bed bugs die on when it comes in contact with the insecticide.

After the bed bugs treatment, leave the place undisturbed for about two hours. After two hours wipe the surfaces which have been sprayed with our insecticide, with a dry cloth only. Do not wash those surfaces for about two days. Thereby the residual effect of the insecticide will not be reduced. Pest Control for bed bugs control takes an average time 2hrs for 350-500sqft area.

Pest Control for bed bugs is of no use of doing in only one room of any flat. Bed bugs treatment has to been done in entire flat at once as there are chances of cross infestation. Bed bugs eggs hatching period is 10-15 days hence Bed bugs pest control treatment has to be repeated after 10-15 days interval as their eggs has hard coating which protects them from chemicals.
